The booking process
Our reservation system will ask if you would like to pay by Credit Card or Bank Transfer, (and you can enter your card details, however this is for verification purposes only, you will be sent a secure online payment link where you can then settle your deposit), or you may take our banking details and pay in South Africa via EFT (bank deposit or electronic funds transfer). Please use your booking number as the reference.
We will receive an email from our reservations software to inform us of your booking. If you have elected to pay by credit card, we will not deduct the safari fare at this point. The reservation system only requires this information for verification purposes. You are welcome to then follow the payment instruction on your reconfirmation you will receive from the reservation’s office.
Our bank (First National Bank, South Africa) rather insists that we send you a 3D secure online credit-card link via a secure payment gateway (virtual card services); or you can follow the payment link:
… where you can enter your card details and personal PIN, using your booking number as the reference..
This is not only a banking security requirement, but also a requirement from Visa and MasterCard – it protects both parties. We can ascertain that it is in fact you using your card, and you can rest assured that the merchant is not utilizing your card for any purposes other than for the payment of your safari fare.
Once you have made an online booking, please check your email, as we will send you the following details:
1. Reconfirmation of your safari booking.
2. Important information pertaining to your stay at Shindzela.
3. Self-drive travel directions, if applicable.
4. Quick facts about Shindzela & a google map image (google maps will show you many ways to get to us, however there is only one way as indicated on the map)
5. Payment can then be made with your credit card via our website. By selecting “Pay now” you will reach our secure link. Remember to use your booking number as the reference
What we need to know from you:
1. Full names of all the guests in your party.
2. Any special dietary requirements.
3. Your planned arrival & departure details (where you are travelling from and to).
If you elect to pay by EFT or direct deposit, please kindly email us a copy of your deposit slip to: firstname.lastname@example.org and use your booking number as reference.
Book direct via email
Guests may book at any time by sending us an email email@example.com or by calling us on +2787 307 9493.. Once we have made your booking, we will send you confirmation via email and follow the same payment process as set out above. Many guests have questions prior to booking their safari, and we are always happy to assist in answering questions via email, or give advice on touring this area of South Africa.
Booking via a Tour Operator or Travel Agent: Some guests do elect to book through their own travel agent (overseas or locally). We are happy to work with your travel agent – please just ask them to get in touch with us via email or to give us a call.
There is a 30% non-refundable deposit on confirmation of your booking. Full payment of your safari fare is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Cancelling more than 31 days prior to departure: forfeit 30% of fare.
Cancelling between 30 and 8 days prior to departure: forfeit 60% of fare.
Cancelling 7 days or less prior to departure: you lose the full fare.
NB: Please make sure you take out travel insurance to cover you in case of cancellation or curtailment. Also take out medical travel insurance.
